The Immunostics Hema-Screen Fecal Occult Blood Test single slides are convenient for use when single stool specimens are to be tested. A single test is needed when blood loss in the gastrointestinal tract is strongly suspected, as with symptoms of ulcers, black stools or post-operative patients.
Hema-Screen in its original concept as slides and tape was designed to offer the hospital, laboratory and physician a convenient, rapid method for handling fecal specimens in testing for occult blood.
The Immunostics FOBT Hema-Screen eliminates the mess and odors associated with the collection of fecal specimens. Slides can be prepared immediately, or placed in a sealable envelope at the test-giver's convenience.
The Hema-Screen is also available in Patient Packs. The Patient Pack allows the patient to collect, in an inoffensive manner, serial specimens at home over the course of three bowel movements and mail them to the hospital, lab, or physician's office for development and evaluation in a sealable, US Postal approved return-mailable foil-lined envelope
