Wireless Temperature Monitoring Overview:

CheckPoint is an innovative and automated wireless alert/data system for proactively monitoring temperature and humidity in Healthcare Facilities. Applications of the CheckPoint wireless system are commonly found in Healtcare Facilities in the Pharmacy, Laboratory/Blood Bank, Dietary, Operating Rooms, and Surgical/Utility Storage Rooms & Facility Maintenance (Boiler & Heat Sensitive Rooms). The ability to centrally monitor equipment at remote facilities on any computer allows users to address individual needs of all departments with one all-inclusive system.

  • Eliminate tedious manual temperature logs, chart recorders and data loggers while at the same time reducing human error. CheckPoint wireless temperature monitoring eliminates wasted labor, paperwork, and frustration of manual checking, improves efficiency and responsiveness with real time monitoring, and proactively produces more accurate and timely data. The continuous monitoring preformed by the temperature monitoring system creates an archive of reports based on a user-defined schedule. Automated reporting saves time and effort for supervisors and managers allowing for a more effective use of staff. Most importantly the larger volume of data collected by the wireless temperature monitoring system provides a greater amount of data to determine whether the product being monitored has been compromised or not.

  • Simplify regulatory requirements compliance. The pressure to ensure safety and quality care is a top priority. CheckPoint wireless monitoring makes it easy to stay in compliance with the growing array of stringent regulatory requirements, such as JCAHO and the new VA guidelines for monitoring temperature and humidity in SPDs’ designated Supply/Utility Rooms. Without the ability to track data in a real-time environment and then make the immediate necessary adjustments, the liability issues can be immense – from a compliance standpoint and the financial impact from the loss of product.

  • Proactive monitoring to eliminate product loss. The wireless monitoring system is a 24/7 continuous real-time monitoring system to provide users with peace of mind. CheckPoint sends alerts to user defined recipients when there is an unacceptable change in temperature or humidity via email or pager so corrective action can be taken before any contents are lost, or perhaps more importantly, before tainted products can be consumed. The system also documents the corrective actions taken for regulatory and departmental needs.

  • Simplicity and flexibility of wireless infrastructure. The CheckPoint wireless temperature monitoring system is extremely mobile and expandable. The system has a much lower installation cost than a wired system and has great versatility for monitoring refrigeration/freezing equipment, temperature sensitive rooms and laboratory areas. Even off-site locations away from the main facility can be monitored centrally with CheckPoint. You can start with one department and add other departments later; unlimited amounts of sensors can be used throughout the facility. Adding to the flexibility of the wireless system, sensors can be transferred from one piece of equipment or room to another when renovating or if in a construction phase.

  • GSA approved. The CheckPoint system is under GSA Contract for sale to Federal organizations. See our catalog on GSA Advantage!
